Another look that really makes me feel HAPPY...

And as per usual, it all started with the bag. The FLESHTONE staff sent over these EXQUISITE "Kelly Saddle Bags" and I literally rezzed and cammed them for about ten minutes. Do you see the texture? I mean, how realistic can you get? The hardware is available in both silver and gold finishes, but of course I went with the latter. They are the PERFECT scale; they aren't too big, and they aren't too small. The "Kelly's"are most definitely a must have...

The skirt is new from Zaara, a brand that's always been very near and dear to my heart. I love these mini-skirts with the delicate ruffles, they feel like a bit of a departure from her normal aesthetic and they're perfect for spring. I was also looking for a reason to rock this new fedora from {mon tissu}, and all the green tones really lend themselves nicely to eachother. I'm not going to PREACH but...

I think the "What's Your Digits" initiative started by Strawberry is long overdue. I love that so many of us are CONFIDENT and SECURE enough in our personal styles and abilities here in-world, that we can share and compare our preferences with fellow bloggers and residents. I know I'm taller than everybody else. I know I'm curvier than alot of other avatars. The same goes for my RL self; I'm 5'9 barefoot and well over 6 feet in heels. When I was growing up I was called words like "lanky" and "mutt." Now, I FEEL I'm STATUESQUE and EXOTIC. I don't look like anybody else...and that's JUST the way I like it.

We are ALL unique...and we are ALL FLY...

It never ceases to amaze me how GENEROUS and PHILANTHROPIC the content creators and fashion industry here in Second Life can be. I've been to more charitable fundraising events here than I can count,  but NONE have impressed me like Project FUR Japan. This is by far the most diversified group of designers ever assembled for a cause; it just goes to show that one of the most universal connections we have all over the globe is an UNWAVERING love for animals and their protection. 100% of all proceeds raised at Project FUR Japan will be donated to Japan Earthquake Animal Rescue and Support (JEARS). This group is comprised of three private No-Kill animal welfare organizations in Japan; HEART-Tokushima, Animal Friends Niigata and Japan Cat Network. No animals rescued by JEARS will be surrendered to Animal Control (where they would be at risk for euthanasia after three days) under any circumstance. They rescue, reunite and rehome lost and abandoned animals. And now more than ever, THEY NEED OUR HELP!

How cute is this little guy? This is an adorable wolf pup available at Project FUR Japan, whom I fell in love with at first sight. He has human holds and the most adorable little face I've ever seen. There are so many amazing, out of the ordinary finds at this event. While my "MATERIAL GIRLS" will be more than happy with the high fashion pieces, there's definitely something here for EVERYBODY. Ladies, men, and even kids items are represented. This is a DYNAMIC event for the ENTIRE SL COMMUNITY.
The always gracious team behind the LeLutka machine generously donated the top-notch sim for the event. And what surprised me the most was that while it was PACKED with shoppers, I experienced ZERO LAG. How rare is that? The sim will be open for 2-3 weeks collecting donations for this more than worthy cause.  For more information about Project FUR Japan:

This GORGEOUS hair is by one of my all-time favorite brands Magika. It's called "Sophie: Coontail Edition", and I think it's really unique and sexy.

Ines Hax for Peqe's Project FUR Japan offering is FABULOUS. This short, structural number is simply called "Project Fur" and it is precisely what we've all come to EXPECT from her: Sexy, sophisticated and ON-TREND...

Isn't the rouching and draping on this dress nice? I was impressed by new-to-me designers 90 degrees and their enticing"Crimped Ruby" set. It comes complete with a matching red thong; this is sexy clubwear at it's FINEST...

These lace up high heeled boots are highly detailed and come in both black and white versions for the price of one. Titled "Strut" by .:NERDOSAURAUS:., these stilettos will make you do just that...

Last but by no means least, this DELICIOUS lingerie set is by one of my favorite designers, Brutus Martinek for PDIDDLE. I'm ALWAYS a sucker for her lingerie, and I'm ALWAYS a sucker for nicely textured animal prints. This set feels like it was made ESPECIALLY for me. And I can GUARANTEE that you'll find something at Project FUR Japan that feels like it was especially made for YOU. Don't miss THE most important charity event of the Spring!!!

GIZZA is filled wall to wall with beautiful gowns, fun casual and clubwear, menswear, and more. The hair is one of my all time favorites by **UNITED** designer Mirja Mills for EMO-tions. Mirja makes such unique, distinctive hair; hair that doesn't look quite like anyone else's and makes you feel special everytime you put it on. Lastly, the jewelry is from Sonatta Morales VHC. Great pearl sets are difficult to find in SL, and this one is one of the lovliest I've seen. "Fashion For Life" started today, and as soon as the Bourke White sim opened I BOLTED to the Willow booth. Weezy Warwillow is one of my favorite content creators, and I always look forward to new and exclusive pieces from her. I grabbed this SUPERBLY constructed wrap dress and her EXQUISITE beaded cardigan (which I'll be showing you in a near-future post.) I love how highly detailed and REAL her garments look. If the RL fashion brands 'Laura Ashley' and 'The Gap' merged and brought a brand to SL, they would offer the design aesthetic of Willow. Weezy is another of those KEY designers that isn't trying to get rich selling her work; it's clear that she LOVES what she does, and it's more and more obvious with every piece she constructs. The hair I'm wearing is from [kik], and in the hour or so I wore it around FFL I was asked about it 3 separate times. It's quite lovely, just what I needed to showcase my new KILLER headpiece from NHA!, a newer shop boasting SUERIOR accessories and jewelry. And in closing, let me take the opportunity to thank riri bazar and lisbeth gummibaum @ 'HATE ME AND EAT ME' for offering and sending me TONS of makeup and poses. All poses in this post are their work and I'm ETERNALLY grateful for their recognition, generousity and LOVE. I'm not a very "trendy" person. It's never been of much importance to me what anybody else is wearing or how they wear it. I prefer classic, timeless garments that never go out of style. I'm all about building a wardrobe arsenol filled with high-quality, unique staple pieces that are strong both independently and cohesively amongst the other items in my closet. While everyone still seems to be caught up in the "skinny jeggings" craze, I've been enjoying wide leg jeans and trousers as we move into Spring. The ones I'm wearing today are perhaps my absolute favorite in SL thus far. While my others from Blaze, LeLutka and Frozen Turquoise Valentine are nice, these brand new ones from FAB PONY are exactly what I've been waiting for. 70's inspired and high-waisted; they're available in several different washes and affordably priced.

For me, transitioning into Spring also means a fresher, lighter color palette. And some of my favorite designers obviously feel the same as I do, since there are so many beautiful new releases indicative of that line of thinking. Azure Electricteeth launched her highly anticipated new line -La Viere- over the weekend, and it's overflowing with the most delicate, feminine, colorful looks you've ever seen. The blouse I'm wearing is part of her first drop, and can be worn with or without the flirty hem ruffle and cap sleeves. The ever popular {mon tissu} recently added to their brand with fresh, lovely pieces that are perfect for spring. This shrug is highly detailed and versatile; you'll want to throw it on over your favorite tank for a casual look as well as a sexy mini-dress to add polish.

And it's not often that I rave about a skin that wasn't made by my husband Tairo (I love you baby=), but when even HE comments on how amazing someone else's work is, I know it's blogworthy. This skin is brand new from Tuli called "Tanya" and it's one of the loveliest I've seen as of late. The features are delicate, the body is shaded immaculately, and the eyeshadow, lip and cleavage options are plentiful. The hair is limited edition by Exile for the Garden City Relief event, all proceeds being donated to The New Zealand Red Cross. Appropriately named "Hope", it's beautifully textured and frames the face to perfection. Lastly, the shoes are from [bellballs] , currently one of my absolute favorite brands. I want to take a moment to thank Viollette Vyper, mastermind behind the brand, for showing me so much love and inviting me to her super-exclusive OFFICIAL BLOGGERS LIST.
