Ahh...sweet September... And although it isn't the start of Autumn proper, for me it signals that it's merely around the corner. Fall has always been my absolute FAVORITE season, most likely because it's traditionally perfect weather for the fashionista in me. It's time to bring out the boots, jackets, scarves and knit hats from storage; today's post boasts a little of all of the above. The jacket is really just a few prims from an amazing Aoharu trench, and worn cropped I can really show off the pretty waistline the vintage LeeZu skirt adds to the look. I love the way this scarf from CASHMERE sort of effortlessly drapes; it's similar to my favorite RL Coach scarf that I wear all the time. And while I do love my earth tones, a pop of color makes Fall styling more special; the sky blue accents are unexpected but just work.

It was recently brought to my attention, that my first person narrative has been missing from my posts as of late. This has been because my RL has been half past hectic (I put in my two weeks at my original job over a month ago, but in an attempt to keep me on board my boss damn near DOUBLED my salary, so I've been working two jobs simultaneously while carrying 5credit hours this summer =/) and I'm lucky to have the time to shop and shoot, let alone ramble on about how I feel about certain pieces and designers, most of which I'd suspect majority of readers scroll straight past anyway. Was that a run-on sentence? Yes probably, but I'm going to push my grammer natzi-ism aside and continue on. So today, I am preparing for a quick weekend trip to Vegas, and I have a few moments to babble about some of my current obsessions that I've collected this week...

So let's take it from the top to the bottom...

The hair is simple and chic at it's finest. The styles from Nylon Outfitters have been amazing for as long as I can remember, and this messy bun and slicked tattoo base is no exception...

My scarf is from TokiDoki, and it surprises me how many people haven't been there before. Everything has a soft, sort of aged feel to it. The scarves and other accessories are quaint and sort of whimsical, like I discovered them in my Grandmother's closet...

The jumpsuit is EPOQUE; part of the brand spanking new Schlie Blich collection. Everything is edgy with a sort of futuristic feel to it, but today I styled this particular piece in a more ready-to-wear, casual way. It's versatile and well-made, just like everything else Vintage McMillain designs...

The vest, in my opinion, is the star of the show. It's part of the most recent AOHARU drop and the styling possibilities with this piece are endless. I think it would look killer paired with a formal gown, and you'll probably see me rock it that way sometime in the near future. AOHARU always delivers garments that have a classic, timeless appeal....

 I'm carrying the Boni Bag from Bare Rose Haute. I was talking to June, the designer of Bare Rose the other day, complimenting her on her amazing textures. The bag looks vintage and expensive, but as we've all come to expect and adore about June's work, it's available at a more than affordable price point...

The shoes are the RIVEA'S from MStyle...and if you haven't grabbed them yet, you're missing out on the IT pumps of the summer. These patent leather babies will pop the sh*t out of anything you wear (pardon my language but shoes make me emotional) and elevate a simple pair of jeans and a tank into the stratosphere of high fashion. Mikee: you're a GENIUS babe =)

For as long as I can remember, I thought about writing a blog based on SL Fashion, but I kept making excuses as to why I shouldn't. I told myself that I wouldn't have the time to devote to it, and that the blogosphere was already too inundated with them. I thought that no one would read it and that I would be wasting my time. I'm a quiet girl, and I've found that on numerous occasions to be interpreted as me being "stuck-up." But it was when writer Miss Paola Trizomu (who has also manifested into an AMAZING MODEL AND FRIEND) interviewed me about my personal style and the season's hottest trends, that I finally decided a blog would be the best medium for me to showcase my love for fashion, music and the REMARKABLE WORK of the content creators of SL. Almost 2 months publishing the blog and well over 4,000 hits later, I'm convinced I made the right decision. I love seeing WELL-DRESSED women that take PRIDE in their avatars. And if you can pull up my blog and find an item or store that you didn't know about before, then I feel like I'm not wasting my time. In matters of personal style, everyone is different. As for me-the way I know I love a piece, is if I find myself not wanting to take it off. And that's what has occurred with this structurely PERFECT dress by Maylee Oh of "The Secret Store." I don't want to take it off my body. The drape of the fabric, the slight movement and flow of it when I walk; this is sculpt work done RIGHT. Equipped with resizer scripts in every prim, it was easy to fit and definitely a pleasure to find. Of course you know I styled it up, but it's a strong enough piece to make a statement on its own...

 Maylee's store did something that alot of brands don't do for me: it made me SMILE. It isn't packed full of items, which to me indicates a designer who puts a little bit of her heart and soul into her work. I'm not knocking labels that mass produce pieces, but to me-quality always defeats quantity. Maylee's work is whimsical and FUN. Bright colors, bows, and vivid prints are included in everything that she produces. I'm showing you her "Scottish Dahlia" dress today, but you can count on seeing more in the future. Oh and by the way, she's just opened a satellite store in the EUPHORIA shopping complex; visit "The Secret Store" @ EUPHORIA HERE...
