Short and sweet today; finally had the chance to drop by "Culture Shock" and grab a couple of pieces from my favorite designers. It's no secret that I'm DEFINITELY obsessed with bags, and this new one from ORTA is spectacular. Highly detailed and realistic, it's similar to one of my RL all-time favorites by Michael Kors. The necklace is by Morantique Lush, and it's even more exquisite in person than my lack-luster photography does it justice. It's delicate yet bold, and I know it's going to be hard for me to take off.

Culture shock aside, my amazing friend Mikee Mokeev of M-STYLE sent me the fatpack of their latest release: the GOSHI pumps.These classically sexy, Louboutin-esqe shoes had me DROOLING at first sight. I'm all about a platform heel right now, and these are the best I've seen this season. They come in SEVENTEEN different colors, and the fatpack includes three bonus colors (shown below) that aren't available independently...

It never ceases to amaze me how GENEROUS and PHILANTHROPIC the content creators and fashion industry here in Second Life can be. I've been to more charitable fundraising events here than I can count,  but NONE have impressed me like Project FUR Japan. This is by far the most diversified group of designers ever assembled for a cause; it just goes to show that one of the most universal connections we have all over the globe is an UNWAVERING love for animals and their protection. 100% of all proceeds raised at Project FUR Japan will be donated to Japan Earthquake Animal Rescue and Support (JEARS). This group is comprised of three private No-Kill animal welfare organizations in Japan; HEART-Tokushima, Animal Friends Niigata and Japan Cat Network. No animals rescued by JEARS will be surrendered to Animal Control (where they would be at risk for euthanasia after three days) under any circumstance. They rescue, reunite and rehome lost and abandoned animals. And now more than ever, THEY NEED OUR HELP!

How cute is this little guy? This is an adorable wolf pup available at Project FUR Japan, whom I fell in love with at first sight. He has human holds and the most adorable little face I've ever seen. There are so many amazing, out of the ordinary finds at this event. While my "MATERIAL GIRLS" will be more than happy with the high fashion pieces, there's definitely something here for EVERYBODY. Ladies, men, and even kids items are represented. This is a DYNAMIC event for the ENTIRE SL COMMUNITY.
The always gracious team behind the LeLutka machine generously donated the top-notch sim for the event. And what surprised me the most was that while it was PACKED with shoppers, I experienced ZERO LAG. How rare is that? The sim will be open for 2-3 weeks collecting donations for this more than worthy cause.  For more information about Project FUR Japan:

This GORGEOUS hair is by one of my all-time favorite brands Magika. It's called "Sophie: Coontail Edition", and I think it's really unique and sexy.

Ines Hax for Peqe's Project FUR Japan offering is FABULOUS. This short, structural number is simply called "Project Fur" and it is precisely what we've all come to EXPECT from her: Sexy, sophisticated and ON-TREND...

Isn't the rouching and draping on this dress nice? I was impressed by new-to-me designers 90 degrees and their enticing"Crimped Ruby" set. It comes complete with a matching red thong; this is sexy clubwear at it's FINEST...

These lace up high heeled boots are highly detailed and come in both black and white versions for the price of one. Titled "Strut" by .:NERDOSAURAUS:., these stilettos will make you do just that...

Last but by no means least, this DELICIOUS lingerie set is by one of my favorite designers, Brutus Martinek for PDIDDLE. I'm ALWAYS a sucker for her lingerie, and I'm ALWAYS a sucker for nicely textured animal prints. This set feels like it was made ESPECIALLY for me. It pleases me to no end to share with you that this post is in celebration of 10,000+ visitors to my blog. When I get my hands on a STUNNING skin, it's hard for me to cover it up. So when Kaysha (mastermind behind OSAKKI) honored me with a preview of her soon-to-be released skin I had to show it off. The "Oksanya" Skin is gorgeous; it's tone and texture are perfect and the lips are to die for. I'm wearing the tone from the middle called "Auburn" but she'll be offering a full range to suit everyone. I feel both innocent and sexy wearing it, sort of like an ANGELIC VIXEN or something. Wanted to keep the look simple, and the bodysuit I chose is delicate, lacey and edgy; it features a panel of fabric at the midsection that separates it from other bodysuits you'll find around the grid. RunoRuno always takes classic garments and pushes them to the realm of HIGH-FASHION effortlessly. Not wearing a whole lot in the post, because skin like this deserves the spotlight...

I always love shopping for new things, but there's something that feels so damn good about the CLASSIC PIECES in my wardrobe. Some items bring back memories; some make me feel warm and fuzzy; some just feel like HOME. I wore this PASHMINA SHAWL from ZAARA on my first date with my husband Tairo. It always transports me back to the time when he and I were first falling in love. Over two years old, and it's still texturely beautiful and relevant. The bag is VINTAGE and was a gift from my dear friend Alexand Vantelli. One of the most talented and stylish individuals I've ever had the pleasure of knowing; Alex is a POWERHOUSE that I'm hoping will join me for a blog post in the near future. The ring is from LaGyo and over time has become one of my signature pieces. I wear it in both gold and silver every chance I get because it reminds me of a real-life ring my late Grandmother passed down to me before she died. Last year I had a break-in and the ring was stolen, but every time I glance at this pixel version I'm reminded of her spirit and how ELEGANT AND TIMELESS she was. Lastly, the umbrella is super-old from Trilogy. It's so well made and is built with poses and animations that I just adore. My MOM collects umbrellas in rl and I have so many memories of my sister and I twirling them when we were little...

When I think of Pop Art my mind immediately goes to Andy Warhol. And anytime I think of Warhol, I have to think about VELVET UNDERGROUND. See Mr. Warhol was the manager of the band, and to say that their music was inspirational to the Pop Art Movement would be the understatement of a lifetime. I'd been ANXIOUSLY WAITING for the opening of the MODAVIA POP ART SHOW since I first heard about it last week. Some of my absolute FAVORITE DESIGNERS are a part of it, and I wasted no time this morning grabbing up my favorites pieces. If you haven't made time to slide through there, I recommend that you do-especially if you're an "art nerd" like myself. And hey even if you aren't into art-the clothes and the installation are KILLER...
