I'm feeling quite BOND GIRL right about now, and it's all because of LeLutka and House Of Fox. I finally had a few minutes to shoot some of my favorite pieces from the latest LeLutka drop, and in my humble, unsolicited opinion; this is THE GREATEST apparel collection released in the year of 2010. Military inspired; there are amazing structured jackets and fur, sexy rompers and jumpsuits, and HATS. Yes the hats are what make the collection, highly detailed and unique-nobody's doing it like LeLutka right now. And when fashionboi Lander sent me the unreleased EDGY BOOTS by House Of Fox, I literally smiled from ear to ear. These boots...my God these boots. I don't even know where to begin. They are throwback and futuristic simultaneously, while still exuding everything I've come to love about the House Of Fox brand. Daring. Sexy. Powerful. They'll push anything you're wearing into the realm of high-fashion. I don't know how I'll ever take them off...wait I take that back. I'm NOT going to take them off. And lastly, I know I didn't do the whole "red outfit in front of a Christmas tree surrounded by presents and mistletoe" thing, but that's never been my style. Nonetheless, I want to wish you all the HAPPIEST OF HOLIDAYS, no matter what it is you and yours celebrate. I always love shopping for new things, but there's something that feels so damn good about the CLASSIC PIECES in my wardrobe. Some items bring back memories; some make me feel warm and fuzzy; some just feel like HOME. I wore this PASHMINA SHAWL from ZAARA on my first date with my husband Tairo. It always transports me back to the time when he and I were first falling in love. Over two years old, and it's still texturely beautiful and relevant. The bag is VINTAGE and was a gift from my dear friend Alexand Vantelli. One of the most talented and stylish individuals I've ever had the pleasure of knowing; Alex is a POWERHOUSE that I'm hoping will join me for a blog post in the near future. The ring is from LaGyo and over time has become one of my signature pieces. I wear it in both gold and silver every chance I get because it reminds me of a real-life ring my late Grandmother passed down to me before she died. Last year I had a break-in and the ring was stolen, but every time I glance at this pixel version I'm reminded of her spirit and how ELEGANT AND TIMELESS she was. Lastly, the umbrella is super-old from Trilogy. It's so well made and is built with poses and animations that I just adore. My MOM collects umbrellas in rl and I have so many memories of my sister and I twirling them when we were little...

When I think of Pop Art my mind immediately goes to Andy Warhol. And anytime I think of Warhol, I have to think about VELVET UNDERGROUND. See Mr. Warhol was the manager of the band, and to say that their music was inspirational to the Pop Art Movement would be the understatement of a lifetime. I'd been ANXIOUSLY WAITING for the opening of the MODAVIA POP ART SHOW since I first heard about it last week. Some of my absolute FAVORITE DESIGNERS are a part of it, and I wasted no time this morning grabbing up my favorites pieces. If you haven't made time to slide through there, I recommend that you do-especially if you're an "art nerd" like myself. And hey even if you aren't into art-the clothes and the installation are KILLER...

For as long as I can remember, I thought about writing a blog based on SL Fashion, but I kept making excuses as to why I shouldn't. I told myself that I wouldn't have the time to devote to it, and that the blogosphere was already too inundated with them. I thought that no one would read it and that I would be wasting my time. I'm a quiet girl, and I've found that on numerous occasions to be interpreted as me being "stuck-up." But it was when writer Miss Paola Trizomu (who has also manifested into an AMAZING MODEL AND FRIEND) interviewed me about my personal style and the season's hottest trends, that I finally decided a blog would be the best medium for me to showcase my love for fashion, music and the REMARKABLE WORK of the content creators of SL. Almost 2 months publishing the blog and well over 4,000 hits later, I'm convinced I made the right decision. I love seeing WELL-DRESSED women that take PRIDE in their avatars. And if you can pull up my blog and find an item or store that you didn't know about before, then I feel like I'm not wasting my time.
